Where did the name Axcessi Kits come from?
‘Axcessi Kits’ arose from the vision of making gifts accessible to all, as they transcend mere gift-giving to become purposeful sets tailored for specific needs. Interestingly, the journey to the name was punctuated by a playful mishap; a minor spelling error led to a creative tweak, adding an 'x' to reflect our unique journey and ultimately resulting in Axcessi Kits.
What’s the purpose of adaptive items in our gifts?
Adaptive tools are designed to enhance accessibility and usability for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence, inclusion, and well-being. By removing barriers to participation and access, these tools empower individuals to perform everyday tasks independently, improve safety and comfort, and foster skill development and self-expression. Within our kits, we carefully select products, ensuring a mix of Australian-made items, those sourced from Australian suppliers whenever possible and external. From the sweet delights of lollies to the soothing flicker of candles, we source locally wherever possible, prioritising Australian-made products or those from suppliers within our community on the Sunshine Coast.
